The Dural membrane attaches to the entire central nervous system on it's inner surface and to bones of the cranium (the skull and face), the spine's top two vertebrae, and then free falls all the way down to the sacrum (tailbone), where it reattaches. Any misalignments of these bony attachments can cause uneven forces on the dura which in turn, cause distortions of the bones of the skull, face, and spine. These distortions are then expressed and mirrored throughout the entire nervous system as well as the rest of the body.
